Keeping Your Wooden Windows Clean

Maintenance and daily care can keep wooden windows working well and looking beautiful, it also avoids bigger clean up jobs later on which can take time and require more work.

You can use a warm soapy water solution to clean your windows – this is often favourable as stronger solutions might cause damage to wooden frames, therefore you should always bear this mind.

Stay away from using a high pressure washer or stiff brush as a cleaning appliance as this could cause damage to your window seals.

Once you have cleaned the window with the soapy water you should get a separate bucket of water and wash any soapy remains away.

Next take a clean sponge and wipe any remaining water to avoid drip marks drying on the window.

When excess water has been removed you should dry the window with a clean cloth. We recommend using a normal window cleaner to clean your glass. Mr Muscle is one of our favourites.

Your windows should now be sparkling clean.

*If you are going to be replacing anything on the window sill it is important that you wait until the sill is completely dry to prevent any staining from ornaments and so on.
